Defending the Child by Sharon Dunn is an action-packed tale. The story starts off with a bang & the pace continues throughout. I think Marielle should have put more thought into her to go bag. I wish the author had spent a little more time on character development. I enjoy second chance romances, but I felt this one was rushed at the end. Defending the Child is a gripping tale with a scared child, a protective DEA agent, a compassionate woman, a resolute killer, & a second chance romance.
