About this ebook

Laura Caxton vowed never to face them again. The horror of what the vampires did is too close, the wounds too fresh. But when Jameson Arkeley, broken and barely recognizable, comes to her with an unfathomable discovery, her resolve crumbles.

In Gettysburg a tomb has been discovered. Cemeteries are nothing new for this town, legendary for its role in the Civil War's bloodiest battle. But this one is different. It contains 100 coffins - 99 of them occupied by vampires missing their hearts . . . one is empty and smashed to pieces.

How have they lain undisturbed for 150 years? And who is the missing vampire? More importantly, where is he? The answer lies in Civil War documents containing sinister secrets about the coffins - secrets that will throw Laura into a gruesome, deadly mission to save an entire town from an army of the undead . . .

Another wild ride from David Wellington! Though very much different in tone and structure than '13 Bullets', the 2nd tale following Claxton and Old Man Arkeley was just as much fun if not more! And the way the story balanced the 'origins' of this group of vampires was excellently handled! Great battle scene and ending just wrapped this up perfectly!
