I'm another that had high hopes for this book especially after reading previous titles. It seems the plot and the general direction of the story were there. However it was a very slow burner and I found it to be extremely drawn out. In fact, ive only finished the book as I don't particularly like to leave a book unfinished.

Really enjoyed it, thought the characters were well defined and much more interesting than other books in the genre, and for once was never sure who was going to survive.

Usually the book is stronger than the film, and maybe seeing the film first tainted my view. But I preferred it's simpler cast and happier ending.

About the author
David Baldacci is one of the world’s bestselling and favourite thriller writers. A former trial lawyer with a keen interest in world politics, he has specialist knowledge in the US political system and intelligence services, and his first book, Absolute Power, became an instant international bestseller, with the movie starring Clint Eastwood a major box office hit. He has since written more than forty bestsellers featuring Travis Devine, Amos Decker, Aloysius Archer, and Atlee Pine.
