While I've enjoyed many of Ms. Feehan's books, a re-read of Dark Prince reminded me why this one was not a favorite. Beyond the repetition was the heroine who was TSTL. I get that books need angst and turmoil, but why authors need to make their female characters stupid in an attempt to give the impression of strength I'll never understand.

I don't normally review books, or anything else for that matter, but I've never had to just quit reading a book either. First time for everything I guess. There is just nothing fun, engaging or romantic about this book. The characters are illogical messes who always want to do the opposite of what common sense would dictate, they have the same argument 67 different times in just the first half of the book. It's exhausting to read and try to keep up with, especially since it feels as though there are bits and pieces missing so it seems jumbled and all over the place. I truly regret spending the amount of money I did on it. If it were cheaper a probably wouldn't be so sore about it.

This book is lame, the sex boring. She uses poetry to describe body parts and feelings while missing pockets of info. needed for a good story flow. This author needs to learn how to write a good story and leave the poetry to poets. yuk
