Imagine trying to live a life being the some survivor of a murder...well, the sole survivor that isn't in prison. Libby Day is a character to be frustrated with, sad for, and disgusted with in quick succession. Will she ever be able to live a normal life? Will she want to? It was difficult to stop reading in order to get some sleep, but at the same time, it was easy. When day turns into night, the vivid descriptions in this book leave you grimacing and feeling like someone is in the room with you. Or sometimes you feel uncomfortable just relating to the pain of growing up in the 80s.

This book grew on me over the time I read it. It caught my attention right off the bat, and it would not let go until I found out who the killer was. I knew I had to finish it and it did well taking the reader on a long journey to finding out the truth. In the way, there was a lot of tension building and mixed feelings. The dim gritty feel at the beginning makes you feel anxious and bothered, but you are left feeling at rest and at peace in the end. It's a good book to stir inside you misery and death.
