Rencana keberangkatan Dafa ke Amerika Serikat diatur. Kedua orang tua Dafa (Abah-Mamanya) dan Mas Wahyu, perawat yang pandai berbahasa Inggris, menemani Dafa selama di negeri Paman Sam.
Akhirnya, ayah dan anak angkat, Demba Ba dan Dafa, bertemu langsung di Singapura. Lewat Singapura, rombongan Dafa, Mr Tanaka, Demba Ba dan dua pengawal pribadinya, terbang ke Amerika Serikat.
Demba Ba terus menemani pemeriksaan dan pengobatan Dafa sampai proses operasi pengangkatan kanker yang berlangsung selama 3 jam. Beberapa jam pasca-operasi, saat Dafa menjalani masa kritisnya, Demba Ba mesti balik ke Inggris.
