Absolutely lovely romance. I loved the tension buildup throughout the story. Lots of angst and personal drama, but definitely in a bearable way. The characters who were UNbearable, however, were Shane and Jamie 🙄. I understand being protective of a sister or cousin, but falling in love and marrying someone, and turning around and shamelessly trying to push someone she doesn't love on her as a husband? And getting mad at her for being infatuated with Robert? Considering what their stories probably were, that was a bit hypocritical. Though they did get much better in the second half. I did find an inconsistency in the series. In book 1, Rogue of the Highlands, Ian claimed that Bridget was older than him by five years. Since he said he was about 30, that would make her 35. Not only that, but he said she had children. However, in this book, apparently Bridget is 27, and she and her husband never had kids. 🤷🏼♀️ I also wish we could have met Robert's brother.
