I absolutely love the relationship between Macy and Grace. Very endearing. But what made me put down this book was that everything was about Jaxon. It was really annoying. Grace is set out to be this naive character when all the clues are right in front of her. She even mentions that she notices these "quirks" about her school, but never bothers to set out and discover by poking around and piecing together the clues. Every thing Grace thinks about revolves around Jaxon. Jaxon should be part of her world, not her whole world. I feel like Grace lacks a personality in comparison to Macy, Lia, Flint, and Jaxon.

I'm resubmitting my review (which was originally was two stars) now that I have read both book two and three. I will stand by my words about my feelings with Crave, the writing is poor and the first person narrative came off more like a diary at times and by the end I couldn't decide if this was a weird spin off a Twilight fanfic or of it was something worth continuing. However the writing, character development and growth and story line are amazing in the books that follow. I would highly recommend anyone who wasn't a fan of the first book like me, to push through and trust that the other books are fantastic!

The book is interesting enough, but the main character can be quite annoying. Her naivety lasts for too long. The author also drags out descriptions way too much, there's a certain point when they just become boring and distracting. Also, Grace's relationship with Jaxon could have been greatly improved upon. It took way too far into the book for anything minor to happen between them. I'll read the next book, but do not have confidence the series will improve much.
