This was a fun read. Mistaken identity started the ball rolling. Lucius was blinded by his need for revenge. Clodovea was in the wrong place at the wrong time. She remained honest, protesting her innocence all along. She was sweet, smart, and caring. Lucius was a bit head strong, but he loved his family and was willing to give up his career for love. I enjoyed these two as a couple, such a sweet pairing. I do recommend this story, and I look forward to the next installment. I received an ARC.

Mission at Midnight is book two in the Chronicles of the Westbrook Brides series. I adored this book. Lucius and Clodovea’s tale is a whirlwind that swept me away. I could not put it down. As a spy, Lucius is on a special mission for the Crown when his path crosses with Clodovea. But what happens when she is mistaken for his greatest enemy? The characters are complex and well rounded. The story moves at such a quick pace that you won’t be able to put it down. This is a sweet romance.
