About this ebook

They team up to find a healer, but the truth could tear them apart.

After six quiet months, the Wilcox clan’s witch-finding software finally gets a ping. The article is cloaked in careful, journalistic neutrality, but Laurel Wilcox knows a solid lead when she sees one.

Soon Laurel’s headed for Lake Tahoe to hunt for a healer who mysteriously appears when he’s needed, then disappears into the forest. She hopes she won't screw up her first solo mission — and betray her clan’s trust. Which is why it’s the worst possible time to be attracted to a handsome, non-witch civilian.

Jason Ludlow’s dual abilities of altering his appearance and hiding his spark of magic from other witch-kind make him ideally suited to hunt for the elusive healer his clan desperately needs. He never expected to meet another witch — a distractingly pretty Wilcox witch — on the same mission.

Both hiding their motives behind white lies, Laurel and Jason team up to find the healer…and give in to an attraction that’s both comfortable and sensually intense. But their idyll can’t last. When the truth comes out, they could lose everything…their clans’ trust, their mission, and each other.

Healing Hands Book 7 Witches of Wheeler Park If you have been a devoted Christine Pope reader, you will have to agree that Ms. Pope has an inexhaustible imagination! In healing hands Laurel, after tedious searches for an orphaned witch, suddenly sees an article claiming a woman in the Tahoe area was “magically” healed when hiking. This compelling knowledge ignites her pressing need to go to California and check it out. Although her techie cousins are hardly enthusiastic about this adventure, Conner is okay with it. Plus, she gets clearance from the Prima of the Delmonicos, who offers her very comfortable lodging in the high rent rent community on the shores of the beautiful lake. What more can a girl ask for? Upon arriving Laurel Wilcox shares lunch with a fabulously handsome civilian, Jason, and so it begins! Having to be done in time to be back in Flagstaff for Addie and Jake’s wedding, being that she was to be the maid of honor she has to make the most of her time. As is the case in most of Pope’s previous witchy tales, nothing is as it seems. We spend and fast paced week with the Wilcox witch and her heart stopping cohort, interviewing several women who had apparently experienced miraculous healing by a very friendly healer that miraculously appeared just when they needed it most. Little white lies necessary to hide the truths Laurel and Jason must protect, adds to the unexpected culmination of the story. In addition the Escobar escapade is cleverly interwoven in the laying out of the plot. This was a quick read for me, as I read it in one day. Its another thumbs up for Christine!

This is part of the Witches of Wheeler Park series and features Laurel Wilcox who with Jake and Jeremy Wilcox are the Trident team. They search for “orphan” witches and warlocks across the country trying to reunite them with their biological clans. In this book their search is for a warlock whose magical gift is healing. Laurel encounters Jason Nichols aka Jason Ludlow, a warlock, from a neighboring clan. Due to previous questionable deeds the Ludlow clan is pretty much ostracized by the witch world. This is my least favorite of the Wheeler Park books primarily due to all the deception and lies that abound. Not just on Jason’s part but also on Laurel’s. I found all the deception depressing and tiresome. There were some interesting developments such as the object of their search and his reaction to Laurel and Jason’s presence. I will say it is a credit to this author writing that she saved the book for me with how she wrote the ending. I will definitely be reading the next book to see what comes next, not really a cliff hanger but it was somewhat open ended. I appreciate being given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Another amazing read by Christine Pope, this is the seventh book in The Witches of Wheeler Park. This book is about Laurel, as she searches for a healer for the clan. It is an adventure from the start, as Jason and Laurel are both hiding little things from one another. However they do work through it as the story goes on. It is a fun adventure, I enjoyed this book and this series too. I have no idea how Christine does it but she creates amazing stories that are interconnected and wonderful worlds. This can be read as a standalone book in the series, as are most of the books in the series. It is an enjoyable and captivating read. I did receive an ARC, but this does not affect my opinion.
