Country Rain

Marlee Fox and Colt McLeod are looking for second chances. They were boyfriend/girlfriend in high school, but Colt was caught kissing another girl and that relationship ended. It's been several years and Marlee has done everything she can to avoid him and has never spoken to him since. Trust is a hard thing to earn .... But Colt is nothing, if not determined to get another chance with the woman he's never forgotten. A contrived meeting between the two lead to another first date.. and then to another. There seems to be a woman following Colt .. one that he has no desire to see, to talk to. Frustrated, the woman takes to stalking Marlee with horrifying consequences. I have read many of this author's books. Her character development and story line has never disappointed. The main characters are likeable, and their interactions are believable. There is a bit of sizzle and heat along with the romance. Although 4th in the series, this is easily read as a stand alone. Not much real emotion or plot. Characters a bit stilted and unsympathetic.

Good, I liked the characters and the suspense added a lit to the story
