Le bonheur, dans le meilleur des mondes. Mais c’est compter sans le talent de Jane Austen pour torturer ses héroïnes et leur faire subir les affres de la désillusion.
Un très beau roman, à l’écriture délicieusement surannée, avec des personnages qui en font un tableau plein d’humour et un rien cynique d’une certaine classe de la société anglaise. Des paysages aussi qu’on aimerait fouler. Et bien sûr une belle histoire d’amour.
