1814 A body of a magistrate is discovered in London and the killing is similar to the the Ratcliffe Highway killings of three years earlier. But someone was found guilty of those crimes or were they. Sebastian St. Cyr is asked to help in the investigation by Bow Street magistrate Sir Henry Lovejoy. Then another murder occurs. An entertaining and well-written, plotted mystery with a good cast of well-developed characters.
