Sylvia, also facing possible abandonment by her long-standing boyfriend to a very tempting, aggressive witch, is trying to salvage her romance and disengage herself from her father's evil rituals. Can she succeed? Read this gripping tale!

I enjoyed this clean easy read set in the near past with interesting story and characters. Well written to where I liked the good ones and despised Sylvia's father so great job there. A bit of drama, love and light trouble to be had. Made me laugh too. Had just enough drama to add some conflict.

I enjoyed this book immensely. I felt like I flew through it, completely immersed. C L Carhart keeps you on the edge of your seat, nail biting, all the way to the end of the book! Poor Sylvia. I really loved the way she shook off the abuse she endured by her father, a despicable man, and gave herself little pep talks to get through. She desperately wants to protect her sister but doesn't know who to trust. On top of that, she is told that the love of her life is proposing to another witch?!? I'm really looking forward to more stories in this series! I received an advanced review copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.
