Holly and Drex's Adventure . . . The author drops the reader right in the middle of a spy transaction in the park when a sniper shoots the informant and Drex Alister has only his superior spy instincts to get him away from the scene and to safety. We are taken along on his path to lose the two hunters and disappear. With only three of Zielinski’s team knowing about this information exchange mission, he is pretty sure who compromised them -- Zielinski. He trusted his handler/assistant, Sandra Chester, and she told him the spirits said to pick B. She seemed to have high intuition skills, so he complied and picked the identity of the 5 they had available, the one called Option B. Chester had helped set the identities up, but did not know what option each corresponded to so would never have information on his new life or location. With a smile in her voice, she told him to enjoy his “next adventure”. But he was sure they would never see each other again. Now he had to run from the sniper, the Czech government, and the CIA who would come after the information he had as they would consider him the traitor. Drex is hiding out in Blitzen after the disastrous end of his mission. He runs into Holly who had known him in high school. Holly and her mischievous ghost-elf Figgy McJingles would be spending the next 12 days matchmaking the town’s newest single residents. Unfortunately, they select Drex and expose his identity which makes him a target and brings danger to them all. Can Holly and Drex keep the town safe while dealing with the situation? Can they save themselves as well? This is a wonderful story that mixes the excitement of a spy mission with a magical Christmas. The characters are very likable and the pacing is perfect, despite our starting the story at a breakneck speed that definitely gets the reader’s attention! The matchmaking spirit Figgy has a special couple already picked out for this year. Will there still be time for a HEA in the little town?
