Where do I begin? Firstly, I loved the character developement of Dr.Talbot, and immensely enjoyed reading about a strong heroine overcoming her difficulties. For a person to go through what she has, it is empowering to witness the healing. As it is in real life, people repeat their worries often. It was realistic to see Evelyn’s worries resurface repeatedly. Amarok character is swoon-worthy, their relationship was slow paced and brilliant. There was no moment where I felt that their romance was unrealistic for the sake of a book. Their steamy moments were very well thought and did not go sappy at all. Their scene together made me feel like It was a good break from the outside world of psychopaths. The thriller, borderline scary part of the book was addictive. I couldn’t stop reading even for a second. It took me only two days to finish it. The individual characters, the psycohopats, were creepy and interesting to read about. Her sessions with them were my favorite. The book, overall was one of the best thriller, romance book I have ever read. Everything was great. I am not sure if I would have enjoyed a bigger, more action filled climax or this subtle, bone-chilling ending was enough. I can’t wait to get the next book! Brenda Novak is simply a genius.
