Wolverine: Weapon X

Great story that showcases the brutality and origins of Logan. The art is great throughout as well, complimented by the excellent coloring. If you're a fan of Wolverine, check this one out.

This isn't a superhero book. It's a horror book. From the psychological terror of the tortured visions inside Logan's mind because of the traumatic adamantium bonding process to the breathtaking ferocity, utter blood and gore, with which he kills his enemies here, this is Wolverine at his basest. A total animal. This reads more like a slasher-horror film with the focus on the scientists that make Weapon X. As a result, you really feel their horror and desperation when they're being killed by Wolverine. Imagine being hunted down by an animal that is unstoppable and remorseless in his killing? It's not hard to do with this book! It was a great read and definitely a step up from your typical comics fare! No 'snikt!', no "I'm the best at what I do", no bub or canucklehead. Just pure gore, horror, and unadulterated violence. The essence of Wolverine.

This is definitely the true origins of weapon X. Excellent plot, awesome artworks, true to the core, worth to buy as a collection of the X-Men's stories for generations to come.
