The Deceivers are a rock band at the height of their powers when guitarist Scott Griffin ODs gruesomely on-stage. For co-songwriter and lead singer Jenny Slade it's a devastating loss. Philip Caveney was born in North Wales in 1951. His first novel, The Sins of Rachel Ellis, was published in 1977. Since then, he has published many novels (or 'head movies' as he prefers to call them) and a series of children's books that have sold all over the world. He lives in Heaton Moor, Stockport and is currently working on his next book.
