Lucia is sent by the Dragon Council Elders to Minnesota to bring back a representative from the Drekison family, who saved the world from destruction. While the Alpha and his family are mostly warm and welcoming, Ivar is surly and just this side of hostile. The more he sees of Lucia, the more attracted he is, while still being mistrustful, until he sees her for what she truly is. This is a new to me author, and I am so glad I was given the opportunity to read this book! The characters are well developed and their happily ever after is *chef's kiss* perfect. Lucia is tentative and shy, but once she warms up, she absolutely holds her own. Ivar is a tender soul underneath his crusty exterior, and loves with everything he's got. While part of a series, this book may be read as a stand alone. That being said, I'll be going back and reading them all. I can definitely recommend this one as well worth the read. I received a free advance review copy and am voluntarily leaving my honest review
