Kitchen Confidential is a classic that was able to transcend the culture of cooking and food to speak to a general audience. Maybe it's not fair to compare, but Medium Raw is more for those in the in industry, and while a good read, is not destined to be in the same category...entertaining and very funny in some parts. I recommend it.

I love Tony's unapologetic attitude, this book however is full of apologies. I guess we all get nicer as we get older, but I like the angry stories to stay angry. The person does not need to and I am glad he is happier, but the old stories are great... Let them be great and full as read in their time.

I bought this in audio, its the worst. No inflection in his voice at all, he read it in such a monotone fashion I could not make it through the first chapter,.
