Greece has always been known for its rich culture and heritage. It was one of the most learned and advanced civilizations in the ancient times. Even the Romans took much from Greece – their art, architecture, language, religion and politics. The Grecian art was incomparable in those times. They were the only people who could make life like art and pieces of sculptures. Their sculptures reflected different moods and emotions. It was they that gave birth to plays and poems, drama was an integral part of their lives and they were genius at it. Ancient Greece was located in the south-eastern part of Europe. This is the same location as that of what is modern Greece. The land was surrounded by mountains and the city lay amongst these hills. Even the foundation of sciences such as biology, anthropology etc. was laid by the Grecians.
Today Greece is a country in Europe with Athens as its capital. The beautiful country is home to exotic beaches and majestic buildings that have been preserved from the ancient times.
