This was an amazing small-town second chance romance story between a fire fighter and a celebrity. It’s the first book in the series and I loved reading it. I enjoyed watching Kennedy and Liam Their chemistry was amazing. And the book pulled me in from the beginning and took me on an emotional roller coaster and kept my interest from start to finish I couldn’t put it down and I can’t wait to read more. I would read Stay With You before reading this one. This is a second chance love story with a stalker thrown in. This book will keep you guessing and keep you engaged in both the love story and the danger. I look forward to more in this series. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. Kennedy and Liam met 11 years earlier. She was on after out for adventure after leaving uni and travelled to New Zealand where she met the young fireman. Returning to LA but determined permanently return to Destiny Falls her plans fail after the death of her parents and she becomes guardian to siblings. Not everyone is welcoming and all attempts to explain to Liam are rebuked. Hostility against her and facing their past is not easy. A stalker left behind and paparazzi in LA each followed her to NZ. Just as Liam seems to warm and rekindle their relationship, feelings resurface but so does the stalker and his actions escalate. Danger and fear take over, but this couple's relationship deepens and love does conquer over evil, but not without drama. A great extension leading on from the prequel .. great characters, angst, well written and plenty of twists and turns.
