Un testimone oculare del XX secolo, tempo che egli ha saputo osservare, interpretare e raccontare con estrema chiarezza, lucidità e pragmatismo. Ricordarlo oggi vuol dire dare soprattutto ai giovani, che lo conoscono sicuramente meno, un valore aggiunto da inserire nella loro memoria attiva, quello della conoscenza fatta con la cultura dei fatti e degli avvenimenti che hanno cambiato la Storia e la vita di tutti noi.
