On May 1987, passenger aircraft Il-62M Tadeusz Kosciuszko of LOT Polish Airlines crashed while on approach for the emergency landing near the Okecie airport. The crew lost a fight for life that lasted for 3o minutes. The last message given by the pilot was: - Goodnight, goodbye! Bye! We perish!

Very good perspective of the tragedy of flight 5055. The black box recordings coupled with the action going on in the plane. Very touching. I lost my family that day on that plane, the infant, Yvette Trubisz my cousin. They found her in the arms of her father, both severely burned. I was ecstatic to see her mentioned in this book. Thank you for writing this. RIP to all aboard LOT 5055
