I couldn't finish this book. That's a compliment I believe. The mood it creates and the way it messes with your instincts/feelings is something else. So be warned, it's not a light read but definitely recommended if you're up for it.

Not as great as people say. I bought this book as I kept seeing how it's supposed to be awful, shocking and "the worst book I've ever read" in terms of horror and gore. It is none of these. While there are parts that turn your stomach a little, it's nothing too shocking. You feel as you're reading it that it's leading up to something, but that "something" never comes. You're teased with a revelation, and then the book ends. It's a good read, but nothing special.

It's not as shocking as people make out, it depends on your tolerance for gore. I found the ending predictable and kind of underwhelming.
