A successful and prolific writer, Robert Stanek has produced more than 100 fiction and non-fiction books ranging from technical publications to young adult science-fiction fantasy novels over the last three decades. His career began in 1986 with the Keeper Martin’s Tale, his first fiction novel. Robert Stanek began writing about technological subjects in 1995 with Electronic Publishing Unleashed. Since that time, Robert Stanek has created a number of bestsellers, including the Ruin Mist series and Elf Queen’s Quest. The latter book spent six months on Amazon.com’s Top 50 Sci-Fi/Fantasy list, along with his first fiction title. Some of his technical titles are Active Directory Administrator’s Pocket Consultant, Web Publishing Unleashed, and Effective Writing for Business, College and Life. Stanek’s children’s books include Pirates Stole My Booty, Mamma Sea Turtle, and Go to School. Robert Stanek has been featured in The Olympian, The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Elves and Fairies, and The Journal of Electronic Defense. The Kingdoms and the Elves of the Reaches garnered significant recognition in 2005, ranking as a bestseller and appearing on several top seller lists. It also reached Audible’s Top 100 bestsellers of all time in the fiction category. He further garnered six Microsoft Most Valuable Professional honors for his writing. His works have been translated into a wide array of languages, including Japanese, French, German, Korean, and Swedish. When not writing, Robert Stanek enjoys exploring the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. He spends much of his free time backpacking and traveling, as well as hiking and spelunking. However, his favorite pastime is spending time with his wife and children.
