Hannah and Layke both come into the book with a lot of baggage that has shaped them and is still controlling their lives. Their fears and doubts are affecting their relationships with those around them and especially with one another. TRUST. They both are worried about trusting others with their deepest fears and hurts. But sometimes the heart has other plans and trust is all they have left - they just need to put it in the right person - God.
