About the author

Dr A. Praveen Kumar is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Easwari Engineering College, India. He completed his Ph.D. degree in the area of crashworthiness of thin-walled structures. His major areas of research interest are 3D printing of composite parts, metal forming simulation, additive manufacturing, composite materials and structures, impact loading of hybrid tubes and the use of lightweight materials in automotive applications. Dr Kumar has published 70 research papers and is currently a Managing Guest Editor - Materials Today Proceedings (Elsevier) and Editorial Board Member in Journal of Transactions on Advancements in Science and Technology.

Dr Quanjin Ma works at the School of System Design and Intelligent Manufacturing, Southern University of Science and Technology, China. His research include: 3D-printed lightweight structures, composite sandwich structures, energy-absorbing characteristics, filament-wound composite structures, impact failure behaviour and mechanism and 3D-printedcelectromagnetic absorbing structures
