The series starts when Christine Blacksworth’s larger-than-life father is killed on an icy road in Magdalena, a hundred miles from the “getaway” cabin he visited every month. Christine discovers a secret that threatens everything she’s always held to be true—her father has another family which includes a mistress and a daughter. This shocking discovery makes her wonder which “family” her father considered his “real” one.
Mary writes about subjects close to her heart: hope, redemption, forgiveness and second chances. Growing up in a small town in western Pennsylvania, Mary has a real-life understanding of life in towns like Magdalena, NY. Many people know who you are, who you are dating or married to, who you are related to, and even some stories of your life. Mary has loved writing since she was a child and created different endings to all of the books she read.
When there is time between books, Mary loves gardening, cooking, reading, following the lives of her adult children and grandchildren, walking her rescue lab mix, Henry, and, on the perfect day, riding off into the sunset with her very own hero/husband on his Ultra Limited aka Harley.
