O ovoj e-knjizi

No children’s library is complete without this beautiful, illustrated edition of Edward Lear’s classic book of hilarious light verse.

The owls, hen, larks, and their nests in the Old Man’s beard are among the fey fauna and peculiar persons inhabiting the uniquely inspired nonsense rhymes and drawings of Edward Lear in A Book of Nonsense. The limericks in A Book of Nonsense stand out as among the most popular, humorous, and important examples of the form.

O autoru

EDWARD LEAR (1812–1888) was an illustrator, natural history artist, and writer, though he is best known for his nonsense poems. His collection of poetry, A Book of Nonsense, was published in 1846 and helped to popularize the limerick, a humorous form of verse. His most famous poem, “The Owl and the Pussycat,” has been made into many picture books.
