Mr. Mason's employment of language is surpassed only by the fascinating plot he weaves covering hundreds of years involving a beautifully described location in what used to be the wilds of western Massachusetts. His multiple characters are well-developed and the narrators providing their voices are perfect. I strongly recommend this book.

I just finished this wonderful book. I'm so enamored by the stories and the characters, all I want to do is read it again right now.

Daniel is a good storyteller! The characters in his book are believable and varied. An enjoyable read.
