About the author

Wallace Sife, PhD, is a psychologist and internationally renowned authority on pet bereavement, and a pioneer in this field. The first edition of The Loss of a Pet won the prestigious Maxwell Award for the best nonfiction pet book of 1993.

Barry Abrams has narrated and produced audiobooks for a variety of publishers. Since 2012, he has also hosted and produced ESPN's In the Gate podcast. Based in Danbury, Connecticut, Barry engineers and calls live webcasts of his son's ice hockey games.
