Super book.. Most readble book.. Its not a story.. Its make me so emotionally. This book is touch my heart. This book become my favorite one. No worlds to describes the book. The writter done a greate job. It is one of the most influential and compelling books in American literature. This new paperback edition-introduced by noted American writer John Updike-celebrates the 150th anniversary of this classic work. Much of Walden's material is derived from Thoreau's journals and contains such engaging pieces as "Reading" and "The Pond in the Winter" Other famous sections involve Thoreau's visits with a Canadian woodcutter and with an Irish family, a trip to Concord, and a description of his bean field. This is the complete and authoritative text of Walden-as close to Thoreau's original intention as all available evidence allows. For the student and for the general reader, this is the ideal presentation of Thoreau's great document of social criticism and dissent.

One of my favorite books, The illustrations add to it nicely and the cover and binding seem well-made. This book is excellent for anyone who loves the idea of escaping from society and finding yourself. It serves as a reminder that as modern society advances, we become almost less human, going about the motions rather than living and experiencing all that life and nature has to offer. Great book for any avid nature lover.

This audiobook captured my imagination, The last two chapters were the best You should endure and don't get too attached to some parts, just endure and you'll be rewarded. I loved the author and Simple living and self-sufficiency were Thoreau's other goals, and the whole project was inspired by transcendentalist philosophy, A rare masterpiece right here.
