Giới thiệu về sách nói này

When an injured teenager goes missing at a remote bushland campground, local journalist Abby Bardot is determined to expose the area’s dark history. The girl bears a striking resemblance to the victims of three brutal murders that occurred 20 years ago and Abby fears the killer is still on the loose. But the newspaper Abby works for wants to suppress the story for fear it will scare off tourists to the struggling township. Haunted by her own turbulent memories, Abby is desperate to learn the truth and enlists the help of Tom Gabriel, a reclusive crime writer. At first resentful of Abby’s intrusion, Tom’s reluctance vanishes when they discover a hidden attic room in his house that shows evidence of imprisonment from half a century before. As Abby and Tom sift through the attic room and discover its tragic history, they become convinced it holds the key to solving the bushland murders and finding the missing girl alive. But their quest has drawn out a killer, someone with a shocking secret who will stop at nothing to keep the truth buried.

Giới thiệu tác giả

Anna Romer grew up in a family of book-lovers and yarn-tellers, which inspired her lifelong love affair with stories. A graphic artist by trade, she also spent many years travelling the globe stockpiling story material from the Australian outback, then Asia, New Zealand, Europe and America. Her first novel Thornwood House, reflects her fascination with forgotten diaries and letters, dark family secrets, rambling old houses, and love in its many guises – as well as her passion for the uniquely beautiful Australian landscape. When she’s not writing (or falling in love with another book), Anna is an avid gardener, knitter, bushwalker and conservationist. She lives on a remote bush property in northern New South Wales.

Since her acclaimed debut in the Sydney Theatre Company's 2002 production of The Glass Menagerie, Eloise has worked with the STC, the MTC, Racing Pulse and numerous independent theatre companies Australia wide. An avid reader, her Bolinda audiobook titles range from Ted Prior’s children's classics to Peter Carey’s literary fiction. Screen credits include Oddball, Hunt Angels, and the ABC’s The Cut, My Place and The Doctor Blake Mysteries.
