Lisa Carey is the author of THE MERMAIDS SINGING, IN THE COUNTRY OF THE YOUNG, LOVE IN THE ASYLUM and EVERY VISIBLE THING. She lived in Ireland for five years and now resides in Portland, Maine, with her husband and their son.
