Homeland Security Secretary Catherine Blaine receives a frightening communication from a hacker identified only by the pseudonym Janus. Unaware of the crisis in Washington, investigative journalist Jon Mallory stumbles upon a list of seven prominent scientists who have been murdered over the past dozen years. When the person who gave him the list disappears, Jon realizes he has unwittingly become part of a deadly chain of events and contacts his brother, private intelligence contractor Charles, for help. Meanwhile, Catherine Blaine has also come to Charles for help in tracking down Janus and uncovering the frightening new weather technology that threatens the world.

James Lilliefors is an award-winning journalist who has written for the Washington Post, Miami Herald, Boston Globe, Baltimore Sun, and elsewhere. He attended the University of Iowa and the University of Virginia, where he was a Henry Hoyns Fiction Writing Fellow. He currently lives in Florida.
Rebecca Gibel is an award-winning stage, television, and voice actress, who has narrated over fifty audiobooks in a wide variety of genres. She has worked across the country at theaters such as Trinity Rep, Cleveland Play House, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Intiman Theatre, and the Arden Theatre Company. She holds a BA from the College of William & Mary and an MFA in Acting from Brown University/Trinity Rep.
