Brothers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm started to write fairy tales in 1807 while travelling in Hessia and Westphalia. Their first collection of fairy tales came out in 1812. Brothers Grimm's works had a huge influence on further children writers. Their tales are appreciated by children all over the world. Even today they are still popular. Indeed you won't find a person who has never heard about Grimm's fairytales. Almost everyone knows them since childhood. The Elves And The Shoemaker tells us a story of a poor shoemaker. One morning he found the shoes cut out yesterday already done. What a miracle! Since that time he had forgotten about poverty.
