Edith Nesbit was an English author and poet, born in Kennington Lane in Kennington, Surrey. Among Nesbit's best-known books are The Story of the Treasure Seekers, The Wouldbegoods, The Railway Children. Nesbit also wrote stories for adults and made wonderful adaptations of Shakespeare's drama.
