Tomie dePaola is one of the best-known and best-loved author/illustrators creating books for children today. He is the recipient of a Caldecott Honor, the Regina Medal, and for 26 Fairmount Avenune, a Newbery Honor. He lives in New London, New Hampshire, with his four Welsh terriers.
