About this audiobook

The former head of the Pentagon program responsible for the investigation of UFOs—now known as Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP)—reveals long-hidden truths with profound implications for not only national security but our understanding of the universe.

Luis “Lue” Elizondo is a former senior intelligence official and special agent who was recruited into a strange and highly sensitive US Government program to investigate UAP incursions into sensitive military installations and air space. To accomplish his mission, Elizondo had to rely on decades of experience gained working some of America’s most sensitive and classified programs. Even then, he was not prepared for what he would learn, and the truth about the government’s long shadowy involvement in UAP investigations, and the lengths officials would take to keep them a secret.

The stakes could not be higher. Imminent is a first-hand, revelatory account inside the Pentagon’s most closely guarded secret and a call to action to confront humanity’s greatest existential questions.

If you are coming into this skeptical, please stick it through to the ending. Elizondo delves into topics pretty far from our everyday experience, but the summary of congressional action on UAPs in the final chapters stands alone in supporting his underlying conviction that the government has known and covered up much more than the public has been allowed to hear. Whatever is being revealed in closed sessions following the astounding public hearings on UAP has led to very revealing and shocking language in signed legislation alone. Even if you believe those who work to discredit Elizondo, do you also deny the hundreds of reported encounters shared by decorated and respected members of the armed forces? This is probably the only bipartisan issue in the U.S. Congress right now, that's something.

If you are looking for an honest assessment of unexplained phenomenon this book is not for you. This book is equal parts X-Files, and Close Encounters of the Third Kind, both of which he compares his real life to. Hard to tell if this guy is just a compulsive liar trying to sell books, or if he genuinely believes all the fantastical and often contradictory claims that he makes. The little bit of actual facts that are present are used to draw the most wildly unlikely conclusions possible. Apparently he skipped class the day they talked about Occam's razor.

This was very grounded in the way Lue walks you through where he was in life at any given time, the decisions he made, and most importantly - what his thought process was. He clues the reader in on various real life characters are woven into the UAP history and ongoing efforts by Congress and other parties within the US government. Very interesting book. Lue seems genuine, well-credentialed, and eye opening.
