This book I listened to via audiobook. I loved it! The story started strong, though a little confusing in the beginning, and just kept on going. Then in the end, there were twists and turns I never saw coming. Great and quick read/listen!

It started off very intense and engaging. Some highs and lows in the middle and the ending felt very rushed. I really loved all of Leo's and Meredith's sections. Kate's section was at times not very interesting and felt it wasn't need. However, I see why it was. I would have loved a POV chapter on how Josh dealt during those missing 11 years. It was a good book that kept me guessing and invested in what happened.

Only about half the book seems relevant--it's very slow until a speedy last quarter. The author is long-winded in her descriptions and I found myself listening at 1.25x to move it along. The narrators are decent; it's the writing that's laborious. The ending is unpredictable because it's almost a completely different story from the one you've endured for hours. I appreciate the tidy ending, however it lacks dialogue or insight from the most central characters, namely Leo. Given the whole book is a series of monologue POV's, I don't quite understand that choice. If you're in for a lazy read, this book might be ok, otherwise I can't recommend it.
