About this audiobook

Dare to dream of a church and a world transformed by the bold celebration of transgender and gender-diverse children.

Drawing on the author's experience as a mother walking with and learning from her own transgender child, as well as working with hundreds of families across the country doing the same, this book helps parents navigate the emotional, spiritual, and logistical landscape of raising a gender-diverse child.

Grounded in the unequivocal truth of God's deep love and limitless creativity, this book compels listeners to move past "all are welcome" to loving and celebrating transgender and gender-diverse youth in the brilliance of their uniqueness, the wisdom of their self-awareness, and the joy of their authenticity. Faith leaders and adults who work with youth will also find the book a helpful tool for gaining insight and building safer and more welcoming congregations for these children.

Rich with personal stories, research, and practical steps, this book dares to dream of a church and a world transformed by the bold and joyful acceptance and celebration of transgender and gender-diverse children and youth. These children need us, and the world needs them.

About the author

Her family and work have been featured by media outlets and organizations around the world, including Disney, NPR, Good Morning America, USA Today, The Today Show, CBS News, Human Rights Campaign, and The Trevor Project. Rebekah Bruesehoff stumbled into public advocacy when a picture of her holding a sign that said "I'm the Scary Trangender Person the Media Warned You About" went viral in 2017. Since then she's used her platform to connect with legislators, advocate for representation of LGBTQ+ voices in books and media, and share her story. Senator Sarah McBride represents the First Senate District in Delaware. Prior to her election, McBride served as the national spokesperson for the Human Rights Campaign, the nation's largest LGBTQ equal rights organization. When McBride was elected in 2020, she became the first openly transgender state senator in American history. Sarah Beth Pfeifer is an NYC-based actor, singer, and narrator with a particular passion for LGBTQ+ stories and YA and an abiding love for books and reading. She has a prolific voice-over career; she's been the voice of brands like Swiffer, Gerber, Juicy Juice, and Audible.com.
