In the second edition of The New Middle East, renowned scholar James L. Gelvin explains how in the aftermath of the collapse of the USSR, the American invasion of Iraq, and the Arab uprisings of 2010-11, a new Middle East has emerged. About the author
James L. Gelvin is professor of modern Middle Eastern history at UCLA and a specialist in the modern social and cultural history of the Arab East. His many publications include The Modern Middle East: A History.
Kent Klineman is a voice actor and narrator based in Los Angeles. A Tony Award winner, Kent has acted in regional theater and on Broadway. He recently guest starred for the second time on FX's hit show Better Things.
