Helena Sandstrom has been working as the governess for Rupert and Tommy Edgerton for several months now, finding the routine a safe place to hide from the troubles of her past. She's accepted that her life will be different from how she always imagined it - not every dream is meant to come true.

Caleb Edgerton is nearly worn out after two years of being the sole caretaker for his aging mother. Her health has taken a turn, and he can no longer manage her care alone. Coming to his brother for help, he finds a source of comfort in the most unexpected place - the schoolroom.
