Grace Hughes: kicked to the bathroom floor by her partner, her back and side aching from where he slammed the door on her frail body, fighting to regain her breath, she can no longer ignore a simple truth: she must leave or he will kill her. Grace hasn’t been completely honest. But Grace wants to tell her everything, and Maddie will make her safe. Maddie has a lot on her mind. A dead boy in a bath, a car bomber who wants to make a statement and the return of a scarred DI Harry Blaker. Can he and Maddie stop the bomber, find a killer and get Grace to safety – whether she helps herself or not? Grace's time is running out. She must escape or die.

Despre autor

Charlie Gallagher was a serving UK police officer for 13 years. During that time he had many roles – starting as a front-line response officer, he became a member of a specialist tactical team and finally a detective investigating serious offences. Charlie left to concentrate on writing full time.

Antonia Beamish is a London actor and voice artist who performed with Circus Archaos before being awarded a scholarship to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts NYC. She returned to London and was cast as the lead in Educating Rita for a European tour. Antonia is a prolific voice actor, with roles in Larian Studios's Divinity: Original Sin, and many audiobooks, including The Truth About Melody Brown by Lisa Jewell and Elodie Brown’s The Wolf Den Trilogy.
