As a young mother with a toddler and a live-in boyfriend, Maggie Fisher's job at a checkout counter in downtown Phoenix doesn't afford her much financial flexibility. Jacqueline Friedland holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and a JD from NYU Law School. She practiced as an attorney in New York before returning to school to receive her MFA from Sarah Lawrence College. She lives in New York with her husband, four children, and two very bossy dogs. Trouble the Water is her first novel.
A graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Devon Sorvari has traveled extensively across the country, performing in everything from Shakespeare and musical theater to Gilmore Girls and a Hellraiser movie. Her audiobooks have earned multiple AudioFile Earphones Awards and an Audie Award nomination.
