Flipping Love You

The audiobook verstion of Flipping Love You is wonderful! Listening to Virginia Rose and Evan Henderson bring Jill and Zeke to life is perfect. They bring the right emotions to Jill and Zeke that I imagined when reading the book. Jill brings the penquins that she inherited to Autre so they will have a good, quiet place to make more of the penquins that are endangered. She's been texting and emailing the contractor for the penquin enclosure and also her house that she's going to live in. She doesn't realize that the contractor for both is Zeke Landry. She's all consumed with penquins and doesn't always take time for the details of personal decisions that come up in her life. On her first night in Autre, she meets Zeke and they really hit it off. Neither of them realizes who the other is. As they get to know each other, they start to bring out the best in the other one. What was a one night stand, turns into more. Jill isn't sure about all of the Landry family and extended family and friends being "in her business" but she soon finds out that they are a great support system. Zeke finds out that he is more capable of doing things than he thought. Flipping Love You is a great book whether you read or listen to it.

Jill and Zeke's romance was pure perfection! Prepare to get hit with all the feels, tons of swoon and plenty of laughs, as your temperature soars and your heart melts into a puddle. The well-crafted, fun and deeply heartfelt storyline is filled with zippy humor, witty banter, spicy steam, a bevy of adorable animals, sweetness, quirky characters, touches of poignancy, small-town charm and a truly amazing cast of family and friends that will have you desperately longing to be a part of them. There was just something so powerfully moving about this duo to me. I think it was because on the surface they were so different and yet when you peeked below the surface you were shocked by the stunning number of similarities they shared. That, plus the raw acceptance they had for one another's "failings" and the changes they inspired in each other simply by loving each other as they were, made me fall fast and hard for this couple and quickly moved them right to the top of my "Favorite Couples" list. I thought the narrators gave wonderful performances and I felt their voices matched the characters nicely. Dual narration is really important to me because it helps me engage much more easily with an audiobook.
