Humans have long been aware of the electric and magnetic forces around us, and scientific investigation showed that the two are intimately connected as electromagnetism. Frank Close is an eminent research theoretical physicist in nuclear and particle physics. He is Emeritus Professor of Physics at Oxford University and a Fellow of Exeter College.
