About this audiobook

The COVID-19 pandemic isn’t over. But even as governments around the world try to get it under control, they’re also starting to talk about what happens next. How can we prevent another pandemic from killing millions of people and devastating the global economy?

Can we even hope to accomplish this? Bill Gates believes the answer is yes, and he has written a largely upbeat book that lays out clearly and convincingly what the world should learn from COVID-19, explains the science of fighting pandemics, and suggests what all of us can do to help prevent another one.

*Includes a downloadable PDF with reference charts, graphs, illustrations, photographs, and a glossary, from the printed book

Bill Gates is not a certified doctor, and therefore has no place contributing to a book about how to properly handle an illness on a global scale. Was he not also responsible for withholding a vaccine patent that would've saved untold lives? What authority does someone like that have to tell others how to handle a pandemic? That being said, this book still has a 4 star rating. Why is that? Personally, I think it is due to Bill Gates being rich. Our society equates money to prowess and capability, even when the rich prove to be no better than anyone else. This book has very little- if any- roots in medical knowledge, but because a millionaire is connected it has a positive rating. I do not recommend wasting your time on this book; it provides no substantial information or thought-provoking inquiries. Readers are better off opening up books with actual expert input, if they wish to truly learn something.
