Eoin Colfer was born and raised in Wexford, where he still lives with his wife and children. Artemis Fowl, his first book featuring the now world-famous young anti-hero, was an immediate international bestseller and won the WHSmith 'People's Choice' Children's Book of the Year and Children's Book of the Year at the British Book Awards. It was followed by five more hugely successful Artemis Fowl adventures, as well as the highly acclaimed The Supernaturalist, The Wish List, Half Moon Investigations and Airman.
